Case Study Research - The Florida Cities Where People Are Suffering with Allergies the Most

Why Allergy Rates Matter

Our research underscores the importance of addressing mold allergies, which are often underestimated by the public. Mold can thrive in Florida's humid and warm climate and poses particular risks to children. Detecting and removing mold can be challenging, as attempting to do so without professional assistance may release more mold spores into the air, exacerbating the problem. Mold can also worsen other allergies, especially for individuals sensitive to airborne irritants like dust mites or pet dander. In such cases, seeking professional advice is the best course of action.

Professional mold remediation services with FDP Mold Remediation can restore your property from mold contamination through science-based procedures to clean, sanitize, and prevent future mold growth.

By sharing this research with you, we aim to provide valuable insights into the prevalence of allergies in Florida and the critical need to address mold-related issues. People commonly associate allergies with hay fever and pollen, certain foods, or animals. Still, it's important to recognize the dangers of mold allergies, about which the public is often less aware.

Our Research Methodology

We examined Google search data encompassing various allergy-related terms frequently used by individuals suffering from allergies, such as "allergy medicine," "mold allergy symptoms," "cetirizine," "symptoms of black mold exposure," and "allergy test." This thorough analysis was conducted across the 59 most populous cities and towns in Florida to determine which locations had the highest rates of allergy-related searches, which may be the places where people are experiencing the most severe allergy issues.

Overall, our research revealed that across the 59 cities in the study, there are more than 104,000 monthly searches for the 41 analyzed allergy-related terms.

The study analyzes 41 different allergy-related search terms and determines the average monthly searches in each city during 2023. Depending on the population, these numbers are adjusted accordingly to establish a rate of searches per 100,000 people, enabling a fair ranking of the cities.
