Coronavirus (COVID-19) Disinfection and Sanitizing Services

Coronavirus Disinfection and Sanitizing Services

The Importance of Sanitizing and Disinfecting

Sanitizing and disinfecting your home and office have never been more important than they are today. Every time we touch something, we leave behind our germs and pick up new germs left behind by others. That means when we're out buying food in the grocery store, or picking up supplies at the pharmacy, any germs we pick up may get transferred to anything we touch in our home.

This puts us and our family members at risk, since all that's needed to catch a virus is to touch a contaminated surface with your hand, and then touch your mouth, nose, or eyes. One of the best ways to minimize your exposure to various diseases and viruses like the COVID-19 is to keep your home sanitized and disinfected.

With our professional sanitizing services, you can eliminate viruses like the Coronavirus, bacteria, germs, mold and odors. Now you can sanitize and disinfect your space quickly without ever having to touch, wipe, or rinse a surface.

COVID-19 Cleaning And Disinfection Process

The goal of our professional service is to disinfect all surfaces that need decontamination from COVID-19. We use the sporicidal fogging method, where special fogging equipment aerosolizes the disinfectant solution into tiny droplets that are temporarily suspended in the air. As these micro droplets fall, they evenly coat the tops and sides of surfaces, furniture, walls, and other furnishings in the room. All disinfectants require dwell time, which is time where the surface is wet and the chemicals in the disinfectant are actively working to kill viruses, bacteria, and fungi.

  1. Surfaces to be disinfected must be clean. If a surface is dirty, it needs to be cleaned with soap and water or a detergent before disinfectant is used. This is also true for upholstery like couches and office chairs.
  2. All surfaces disinfected will be wet from disinfectant and allowed to air dry. Therefore, books, papers, or other materials that might be damaged by moisture should be removed in advance from the area to be treated with sporicidal fogging.
  3. Your family or workers must vacate the area to be disinfected, and should not enter the area again for 2 to 4 hours after the fogging process. This will allow time for all of the disinfectant to land on surfaces, and to air dry. After this time, the area can be aired out and can be used immediately.

EPA-registered disinfectant solution

We use an EPA-registered disinfectant solution included on List N - the EPA's list of disinfectants that meet criteria of effectiveness against human coronavirus and are believed to be effective also against COVID-19. Designed for use in hospitals and health care facilities where thorough sanitizing and disinfection is crucial, it will make your property clinically clean, regardless of its size. Thanks to its germicidal properties, it can effectively sanitize any type of surface. EPA rated as low toxicity, it is completely safe for your whole family, pets, or employees.

We offer:

  • Sporicidal fogging and disinfecting of exposed surfaces in the home or office.
  • Wipe out services for detailed disinfecting of extremely high-touch areas, like employee workstations.
  • Sporicidal fogging and disinfecting for air ducts.

We'll help you make sure that your work environment is as safe as possible.

What is COVID-19

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an outbreak of a new virus that was initially reported in Wuhan, China in 2019. This disease causes (flu-like) respiratory illness with symptoms that include fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. There is currently no vaccine and the best way to protect yourself is to frequently wash your hands and avoid touching your face. You should also maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet from people who may be ill. For more information, please refer to the CDC situation summary page for the latest updates.

FAQ

Is your approach for virus cleaning effective?

Because the Coronavirus is so new, the world is still learning about it - how it transmits, how long people will be contagious, if people can be reinfected. Researchers are still learning about whether heat or cold will kill the virus, and research labs don't have samples to test disinfectants against. This is where the EPA comes in. They've compiled a list of disinfectants that meet the criteria to be used for COVID-19, as they have been proven effective already for virus cleaning of similar viruses, such as human Coronavirus. The disinfectants we use are from List N, and effective at killing over 99% of viruses, bacteria, and fungi from surfaces.

Is the disinfectant you use safe?

The main risk with these types of disinfecting products is if a vulnerable person, such as someone with asthma or other breathing problems, breathes in the disinfectant while disinfecting. For this reason, we only perform disinfecting services on vacant rooms - you and your staff will have to be gone during the time of the service. Since the disinfectant is not rinsed off but must air dry, no one should enter the area after the service for some period of time - from a couple of hours to four hours. Our technician can advise you specifically on when it will be safe to return. Other than that, the disinfectants we use have low toxicity, and are safe for adults, children, and pets.

What types of businesses do you serve?

How often does disinfection need to be done?

Disinfecting should be done according to the needs and the risks in the workplace. Of course, in every setting, there are items that are touched frequently and should be disinfected frequently, even many times a day. These include doorknobs and door handles, light switches, and tabletops/counter-tops.

How should I prepare the area before the disinfecting service?

  • Remove papers or delicate items that would be damaged by moisture from the area.
  • If there is visible dirt on surfaces, they should be cleaned with detergent or soap and water to prepare the area for disinfecting.
  • Make sure that electrical cords and other items that could trip our technicians are removed from the floor to allow safe freedom of movement during the service.
